About Centre for Infectious Disease Research Zambia (CIDRZ)
CIDRZ works to improve access to quality healthcare in Zambia through innovative capacity development, exceptional implementation science and research, and impactful and sustainable public health programmes. CIDRZ supports local ownership of high-quality, complementary, and integrated healthcare research and services within the Zambian public health system and facilitates clinical research, and professional development training.
Brief
Conduct an organisation-wide impact evaluation to generate evidence-based insights for optimising CIDRZ's organisational strategy and to drive actionable recommendations for refining its ongoing and planned initiatives. The evaluation is a first of its kind for CIDRZ and will focus on assessing impact against the organisation's mission of: "improving access to quality healthcare in Zambia through innovative capacity development, exceptional implementation science and research, and impactful and sustainable public health programmes.” The evaluation will establish a set of impact indicators for ongoing impact evaluations to measure progress against the CIDRZ mission..
What We're Doing
We will apply a mixed-methods approach to the evaluation that will primarily involve a descriptive analysis generated from both a desk review of reports and data collected from a staff-wide survey. This will then provide stimuli for deeper discussions during qualitative interviews, which will involve (1) Key Informant Interviews which will be conducted with a mix of key stakeholders including senior staff, Government ministry personal, funders, sector partners, clinical staff and other key individuals identified during the stakeholder mapping process; and (2) Focus Group Discussions with members of the community, clinical and community health workers, as well as CIDRZ staff.
